Hearing Aids & Assistive Listening Devices

During the initial consultation, a complete history will be taken in order to understand your hearing needs and lifestyle as it relates to your hearing loss. We can then work together to find a hearing aid or device that best suits your needs.

Once your hearing aid is fit to your ears, you may need fine-tuning of the initial prescription to help you hear better in your listening environments. Typically fine-tuning is performed over the course of two to three follow-up visits. Additionally, we use special technology including Live Speech Mapping to verify benefit of the hearing aid. Live Speech Mapping is a fitting process that uses probe microphones placed in the ear canal to record output of live real-time speech. This allows you and your family members to immediately see and understand the benefits of the hearing aid fitting and fine-tuning process.
